The consumer chooses BLIK Recurring Payment as their preferred payment method
The consumer reviews the payment
The consumer confirms the creation of the recurring payment agreement in their personal banking app
The merchant must clearly display key information, including the name, amount (or variability), frequency (or variability), and the initial charge
The customer authorises and completes the transaction by entering their PIN code in the mobile banking app. All subsequent transactions are authorised automatically, allowing the merchant to process payments without further consumer interaction.

How it works

1 Merchant

The customer selects the option to pay for the purchase from the seller using BLIK Pay Later.

2 Merchant

The customer enters the BLIK code generated in their mobile banking app.

3 Payment method

The mobile banking app sends a notification about the required transaction authorization.

4 Payment method

The customer authorizes the transaction by entering their PIN code in the mobile banking app.

5 Merchant

The customer is redirected to the eBLIK success page.

BLIK

Introduced in 2015, BLIK is a must-have payment method for e-commerce sites in PL. It is a mobile payment service with a unique model of cooperation between banks, payment acquirers, and merchants. BLIK is available to smartphone users with a mobile banking app from participating banks. Consumers provide their BLIK code to authenticate in the BLIK system and confirm payment within their banking app. Supported banks include: Alior Bank, Bank BPS, Bank Millennium, Bank Pekao, Bank Pocztowy, BNP Paribas, BS Brodnica, Crédit Agricole, Getin Bank, Getin Noble Bank, ING Bank, mBank, Nest Bank, PKO Bank Polski, Santander, SGB Bank.

Recurring – New Flow
BLIK Recurring enables merchants to collect subscription or recurring payments (monthly, yearly, etc.) through BLIK with a single customer authorization. Once approved, future payments are processed automatically without requiring the customer to authenticate each billing cycle.

Why BLIK

BLIK reports that it is the most frequently used mobile payment method in PL, reporting over 12 million active users – more than one-fifth of the population.

BLIK drove 763 million transactions worth USD 25 billion in 2021 – over 75% via e-commerce and a 60% market share of all Polish e-commerce.

In just the third quarter of 2022, Polish online shoppers spent more than US$5 billion using their BLIK payment apps.
