The growth of e-Commerce continues to be strong in Brazil, showing a rise in 2014 of 11.5%. What’s more, the last three months averaged out at 10.9%, which was above the 9.8% achieved in the second quarter.

Observers believe this performance is particularly robust, given that retail sales are under pressure in Brazil.

These latest figures come from the MasterCard SpendingPulse report. It shows that five out of seven retail sectors grew. These are clothing, pharmaceuticals, furniture and appliances, building materials, and personal and household materials. The two sectors which didn’t perform as strongly were fuel and supermarkets.

The e-Commerce sectors which achieved above average growth included electronics and furniture.
