Philipp Bock discusses the Brazilian Start Up scene on Gruenderszene

This week Philipp Bock, CEO and Founder of allpago, was featured in Gruenderszene’s article “Startups als Hoffnungsträger für Brasiliens Wirtschaft” (Start Ups are the Hope of Brazilian Economy).

On the article, Philipp shares his views on entrepreneurship in Brazil and the ecommerce landscape in the country: “Brazil is, after the U.S. and Europe, one of the top three markets for digital merchants in the world. The country has a strong purchasing power that is concentrated in metropolitan areas such as Sao Paulo”.

According to Philipp payment methods offered by allpago, such as credit card installments, help further encourage consumption. This is reflected in ecommerce sales figures, which are growing every year in double digits. Last year ecommerce reached a sales volume of 28.8 billion reais (9.3 billion euros) in Brazil.
