allpago Pitches to Leading US VCs

01.04.2015

allpago was pitched against ten other top payment companies yesterday as it went up against some of the most innovative platforms currently working within the sector.

We were one of only ten companies invited to fight it out for the prestigious E-Pay Innovation Award. The competition formed part of the TRANSACT 15 conference at the Moscone Centre, San Francisco.

Each company gave a presentation in front of some of America’s leading venture capitalists. They were Scott Robinson, Director, FinTech, Plug and Play; Brian Ascher, Partner, Venrock; Dan Rosen, Partner, Commerce VC; Ben Malka, General Partner, North Hill Ventures; John Huber, SVP, Business Development, Wells Fargo; Eric Dunn, SVP, Payments and Commerce Solutions, Intuit; Josh Goines, PayPal; Pete Donat, SVP, First Data Ventures, First Data; and, Daniela Mielke, Chief Strategy Officer, Vantiv.

CEO Philipp Bock gave the presentation and was delighted with the response:

“It was very exciting pitching against some great companies and the team are rightly very proud to even have been invited to the event. Our pitch was very thorough and demonstrated that allpago had successfully developed its business concept. We were warmly congratulated by many within the audience.”

ETA (Electronic Transactions Association) uses the event to show off the most innovative companies in the sector. As well as venture investors, the audience consisted of the media and potential industry partners.

TRANSACT 15, organised by the ETA, is the leading event in the payments sector. It brings together payments and technology, connecting the people that matter in San Francisco, the incubator for innovation.

We reckon that events like this show a wider public the achievements already notched up by the company and look forward to being invited to more in the coming months.
