MobilePay

MobilePay is a card wallet solution launched by Danske Bank in Denmark in 2013.

Once users link their cards to their mobile number within the MobilePay app, they can transfer money and pay for goods in-store with a QR code or NFC. For online purchases, the consumer selects MobilePay at checkout and then uses their fingerprint or PIN to verify the purchase. Users must have a Danish tax number and be at least 13 years old.

MobilePay is also available in Finland but was withdrawn in Norway in 2018 due to strong competition from the local mobile wallet, Vipps.
